Oil Change



Interested in learning how to change your own Bike oil? Its must simpler process then you may assume it is. Learning how to maintain your Bike’s maintence on your own will give you confidence. Here are some simple steps that will help you change your Dirt Bike’s oil.
Step 1:
Make sure you place the Bike on a stand and have an Oil Pan nearby. Make sure the Bike is lined up right under the pan, to make sure oil does not spill out
Step 2:
Before you start the full process make sure to check, “How much Oil you will need.” Each Dirt bike should come with they are own Owners Manual. This should tell you how much Oil you need to place into the bike. Some Dirt Bikes will have Messurement on the Side of the Engine. You can find oil you need a local car part shop or Dirt bike dealer , ask customer service for help if you need direction.
Step 3:
Place the Drain pan under the plug, unscrew the bolt at the bottom of the bike, use a socket wrench if need be. Catch the old used oil in the pan and let the bike drain out. When the oil stops, move the bike side to side, making sure all the oil is drained out. Once down with this process, screw the bolt back into the drain plug.
Step 3:
While the oil is draining out , take the time and Change your Oil Filter. Remove the Filter and wipe the area with a rag , and replace the old filter with a new one.
Step 4:
Reinstall the Oil drain plug and pour the Oil into the Bikes engine. Make sure you check your Bikes Manual to put the right Ounces of Oil. Make sure to not Overtighten the Drain plug when screwing it back in place.
Step 5:
Last step is to check the Oil Level, and start your bike up, give it a test run.
